INSTRUCTION (Typically lasts about 20% of session.)
Framing the Session
Give participants an introduction and purpose/reason why you are teaching this session: "Your teachers have been telling me that they are getting messages about their filters need to be cleaned and would like to know how to get rid of it"
Teaching
Demonstrate for participants how to: “Watch me as I show you how to clean the filter and remove the error message”
Guided Practice
Guide participants through the process of: “Now it is your turn to try it.”
WORK TIME(Typically lasts about 60–70% of session.)
Getting Started
Tell participants what they will be doing during their work time, and how much time they have: “Take the next 30 minutes to..., unscrew the projector and take out the filter cartridge.”
Participant Activity
Participants will... Step 1 Open the back of the projector cart Step 2 Disconnect the power source, and all cables Step 3 Unscrew the 2 bolts that hold the projector into the cart
Step 4 Put projector on a flat desk and pull out filter cartridge Step 5 Faculty advisor will show the students how to clean the cartridge with a keyboard vacuum and how to use the vacuum against the vents.
Step 6 Students will then clean the filters that were demonstrated and properly put it back into the projector
Step 7 Students will reconnect projector and it properly goes on
Facilitator Conferring
Circulate around the room and confer with participants. Make sure that, Check for, Try to guide, Suggest that, If participants finish early, etc.
Students were able to effectively take out the filters and clean them. Students also learned quickly how to clean the filter without removing it, SHARE(Typically lasts about 10–20% of session.)

Ask selected participants to share particularly good examples of their work.
Lead a discussion about how this work addresses the focusing questions.
